In recognition of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize each and every one of you for volunteering with Treasure Coast Hospice. Your commitment to serve and your boundless compassion reflect the true meaning of having a hospice heart.
Thanks to your tremendous generosity this past year, Treasure Coast Hospice volunteers provided more than 40,000 hours to support our mission by visiting patients, working in our thrift stores, caring for patients’ pets, preparing materials to educate our families and caregivers, serving on our boards and committees and helping the community learn how to access our care programs and services.
Your unwavering support of our mission has never been more evident than in the overwhelming response of our volunteers during today’s unprecedented health crisis. We are grateful for the incredible kindness of those who are serving in new ways – sewing face masks, making phone calls and writing notes of encouragement to our patients, and supporting our frontline caregivers.
While our in-person celebration this week was postponed due to social distancing, we look forward to welcoming you back and recognizing your service in the coming months. Please look for more information from our Volunteer Department soon.
Without the help of our volunteers, Treasure Coast Hospice could not affect the journey of those we care for in such a compelling way. Thank you again for your support and for inspiring all of us as we work together to fulfill our mission to serve patients and families at the end of life.
